HURST/OLDS (1969) HURST MODIFIED OR INSTALLED Page 2
EXTERIOR
1. Exotic exterior color scheme featuring Oldsmobile Cameo White, accented and
highlighted in "Hurst Gold" Firefrost. Liberal pin striping further enhances
the '69 H/O.
2. The contemporary 442 "egg crate" grille panels are recessed, expressing the
popular "deep and wide" style, adding ti the firm "stance", head-on appearance.
3. Twin racing mirrors add extra class to "identify" with the performance minded
enthusiast.
4. A new concept in fresh air induction (ram tuning), specially designed and
engineered by Hurst, highlights the tasteful and distinctive hood panel.
Long, twin ram-scoops, emphasized by identification decals and smart paint
treatment, lead into a pressure chamber to add increased cool air breathing
under acceleration. Twin pressure ramps replace the standard fresh air inlets
(cowl vents) and serve as deflectors of wind-driven rain during inclement
weather. The concept should also keep the windshield cleaner in all weather.
5. A very "in", racing type, rear deck spoiler (wind deflector) graces the rear
deck lid and quarter panels. The unit is eye catching and identifyable with
the racing image in addition to being completely functional for high speed
braking stability. The "spoiler" leaves the rear compartment completely
accessible. The unique H/O emblem adorns the center support of the wing
adding balance to the clean rear deck area.
6. Special 7 1/2" styled steel wheels and H-70 Goodyear Polyglas tires complete
the exterior re-styling.
